Polish translations
Polish, a West Slavic language, is the official language of Poland, but is spoken in other countries by Polish immigrant communities. It is one of the 34 official languages of the European Union and is spoken by more than 38 million people as a first language in Poland, and 55 million worldwide.
Polish is one of the most popular Slavic languages, after Russian. It is a second language of many people in parts of Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Historically, Polish has had an important role in academics and diplomacy in both Central and Eastern Europe. There have been many attempts to eradicate the language in the 1800s and 1900s, but that didn’t stop an amazing body of literature from developing or the number of native speakers from growing.
